BackgroundJason Noel

Jason Noel was born in Green Bay Wisconsin at St. Marry's Hospital on November 7th and lived there until the age of four when his family moved to Fort Collins Colorado. Jason has one older sister, Jene, and lived with his parents

After high school, Jason moved back to Wisconsin to attend college for Computer Science. He lived there for a year and a half to gain residence to avoid the cost of out of state tuition. After he was deemed an in-state resident, Jason attended the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh. After returning to Colorado for his summer break, Jason decided to stay in Fort Collins and attend Colorado State University to continue his CS degree. Jason continued to attend Colorado State for two and a half years before deciding to pursue photography full time.

Rocky Mountain School of Photography: Jason Attended RMSP's Summer Intensive program during the summer of 2003. During the summer intensive program, Jason photographed all over the state of Montana and Wyoming applying the techniques that he studied. During the intensive program, Jason had his worked critiqued by numerous professional photographers including a specialized cretique session with David Middleton. David selected three of Jason's photographs and this is what he had to say about the photographs selected:

At the conclusion of which he received his professional photographer's certificate.

Jason’s love for photography started at a really early age where he would take his Dad’s Pentax K100 35mm slr outside and photograph everything under the sun. To keep Jason from using his camera, his parents bought him a Polaroid Camera unknowing that the cost of the prints were outrageous! So, Jason was back to using his parents camera in no time. All while growing up, Jason would follow his Dad everywhere in the Rocky Mountains backpacking, fishing, hunting and all the while, photographing everything along the way.
